Bari Cunningham MD

Bari Cunningham MD is a nationally recognized dermatologist who is one of only several hundred physicians in the nation who is double board certified in Dermatology and Pediatric Dermatology. She completed her residency training at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

Bari Cunningham MD is a nationally recognized dermatologist who is one of only several hundred physicians in the nation who is double board certified in Dermatology and Pediatric Dermatology. Bari Cunningham MD earned her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, where she graduated Cum Laude. Her postgraduate training included a Residency in Dermatology at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine where she served as chief resident in Dermatology. She was the first recipient of the Johnson and Johnson Fellowship in Pediatric Dermatology and completed her fellowship training in pediatric dermatology at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago (formerly known as Children’s Memorial Hospital) and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.  Her clinical interests include surgical and laser treatment of birthmarks. She served as Director of Pediatric Dermatologic Surgery and Laser Therapy at Rady Children’s Hospital and University of California San Diego for over a decade until co-founding Comprehensive Dermatology Group in 2008. She is the author of over 60 professional publications and routinely reviews numerous peer reviewed medical journals, and lectures internationally. Bari Cunningham MD is the 2010 recipient of the volunteerism in Dermatology award by the American Academy of Dermatology for her humanitarian/medical work in Central America.

Dr Cunningham has been recognized for her dedication to excellent and compassionate care of her patients. She is the recipient of numerous local and national awards including: “Best Doctors” in America in 2002-2020. “Physician Recognition Award” from UCSD Dermatology 2008 and “Best Dermatologists in the Country” by the Consumers’ Research Council of America. Locally, she has been awarded the “Top Doctors” honor by San Diego Magazine in 2007 – 2023.  Dr. Cunningham has the unique distinction of being the only pediatric dermatologist to receive this top honor in 2020.

Vishakha Gigler MD

Vishakha Gigler M.D. is double board certified in Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery. She completed her dermatology residency at UC Irvine.

Vishakha Gigler, M.D. is double board certified in Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery. She enjoys practicing medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology, including Mohs micrographic surgery.

Dr. Gigler graduated as a member of the phi beta kappa honor society from UC San Diego.  She completed her medical school training at UC San Diego and her dermatology residency at UC Irvine.

Dr. Gigler had served as president of the San Diego Society for Dermatologic Surgery. She is also the founding dermatologist for the San Diego Esthetician Society. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. She is a fellow of the American Society for Mohs Surgery.

Dr. Gigler prides herself in delivering the highest level of medical care. Patients describe her as being thorough and caring. Dr. Gigler has been recognized as a “Top Doctor” in San Diego Magazine 14 times every year from 2007-2023. The honor is distinct, because it is voted on by physicians throughout San Diego County.

Lisa Stirling MD

Lisa Stirling MD is a board certified dermatology with expertise in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She completed her dermatology residency at the University Of Miami Miller School Of Medicine.

Lisa Stirling MD is a board certified dermatology with expertise in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She has more than 10 years’ experience in clinical dermatology and 4 years’ experience in tele-dermatology. She enjoys caring for patients with complex skin conditions and uses multiple treatment modalities, including topical regimens, light therapy, laser, systemic medications, and biologics. She is specialized in treating patients with skin cancer, including melanoma. Lisa Stirling MD believes in compassionate care and a patient centered treatment approach, including life style strategies to improve outcomes and focusing on overall wellness.

Lisa Stirling MD earned her undergraduate degree in biology at St. Ben’s University in Minnesota, graduating with the distinction summa cum laude. She received her medical degree at the University of Minnesota Minneapolis and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. During medical school, she traveled to the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden to expand her knowledge of dermatology. She completed her dermatology residency at the University Of Miami Miller School Of Medicine. She earned a grant from the Women’s Dermatologic Society for preceptorships in pediatric dermatology and she was awarded with the top research award during residency. She has presented at medical conferences and is published in several peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Stirling is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She volunteers for the Skin Cancer Foundation, providing free skin cancer screenings for uninsured and underserved individuals. She is a military wife and in her free time enjoys trail running, reading, and caring for her two boys.

Joy Wisniewski MD

Joy Wisniewski MD is double board certified in Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery who completed her residency training at Tulane University. She has expertise in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.

Joy Wisniewski MD is double board certified in Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery. She has expertise in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She also holds a certification in Integrative Dermatology. She grew up in North County San Diego and received her honors Bachelor of Science degree at UCLA. While at UCLA, she worked in a melanoma lab and became interested in dermatology. She then spent eight years in New Orleans, Louisiana, earning her Medical Degree and continued her training at Tulane University, School of Medicine as an Internal Medicine Intern and then a Dermatology Resident. As a medical student, she was at the top of her medical school class and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society along with receiving the Gold Humanism in Medicine Award. In her last year of Dermatology Residency, she was chosen to serve as Chief Cosmetic Resident. She organized numerous trainings in Botulinum toxin injections and a variety of fillers and laser treatments.

After residency, Joy Wisniewski MD worked at a private dermatology practice in San Diego until 2016.

Joy Wisniewski MD is additionally a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. She enjoys all facets of dermatology, with special interests in Skin Cancer, Vulvar Dermatology, and Cosmetic Dermatology.

Outside of work, Joy Wisniewski MD enjoys yoga, cooking, and spending time with her husband and kids. She speaks Spanish.

Natasha Carter MD

Natasha Carter, MD PhD is a board certified Dermatologist who completed her residency training in dermatology at The University of California San Diego.

Natasha Carter, MD PhD is a board certified Dermatologist who completed her residency training in dermatology at The University of California San Diego. Prior to coming to San Diego, she graduated from medical school at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon and she completed her PhD in immunology at Oxford University in the UK. She trained in a cancer immunotherapy lab and takes a special interest is using the immune system to fight cancers in the skin. Given her background in immunology, Dr. Carter also specializes in treating immune-mediated skin diseases such as psoriasis, eczema and rare blistering diseases. Natasha Carter MD is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatologist and the Society for Investigative Dermatology. She has been awarded the “Top Doctors” honor by San Diego Magazine in 2023.

Natasha Carter MD has a long track record of community service. She is a Volunteer Assistant Professor at UCSD where she teaches the dermatology residents every week and occasionally gives lectures to the medical students and internal medicine residents. She also works at a community clinic where she cares for uninsured, underinsured, homeless, immigrants and other underserved community members.

Natasha Carter MD came to San Diego with her husband in 2015. They both fell in love with the community here and decided to stay to raise their two young children. They enjoy exploring the city, beaches, and parks together as a family.

Elizabeth Cooper MD

Elizabeth Cooper MD is board certified in dermatology. She completed her residency training in dermatology at the University of Texas in Austin, TX.

Elizabeth Cooper MD is board certified in dermatology. She completed her residency training in dermatology at the University of Texas in Austin, TX. She grew up in Louisiana, and she graduated summa cum laude from Louisiana State University with a major in mathematics and minors in biology and dance. She then attended medical school in New Orleans, Louisiana, at LSU School of Medicine, where she was top of her medical school class and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She also received the Gold Humanism in Medicine Award while in medical school. During dermatology residency in Austin, TX, Elizabeth Cooper MD was chosen to serve as Resident Cosmetic Clinic Director and Resident Wellness Director, and in her final year she served as Chief Resident. Elizabeth Cooper MD is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. She has special interests in skin cancer, hair loss, hidradenitis suppurativa, and cosmetics with a special focus in laser therapy, but enjoys all aspects of dermatology.
